Engagement in a virtual world: building empathy and trust through the screen

The IABC APAC region is delighted to invite you to a joint one hour webinar with the NSW and Vic IABC Chapters discussing communications in a virtual world.  This is a PwC sponsored event.

For years, the gold standard of communications was agreed to be face-to-face but as with so many other things, 2020 and the global pandemic has turned that orthodoxy on its head. As communication professionals, how can we craft experiences and interactions that are impactful, empathetic, and, most importantly human, when we are engaging with a remote and physically isolated workforce?

Now that we are a year into the world’s giant work-from-home experiment, it has taken an additional twist as some start to head back into the office, while others ‘work from anywhere’ and still others stay home. The new hybrid model is a particularly challenging one for comms professionals, and there is no silver bullet, only a constant state of evolution. This session will be an opportunity to share how we have designed communications, content, and experiences that make the most of our new environment.

This will be a workshop with lots of interactivity for participants.

Hosted by Ross Monaghan, Professional Director IABC APAC, the key speaker is Sonia Clarke, Director, PwC’s The Difference.
