Pathways to global certification – differentiate yourself

Pathways to global certification – Differentiate yourself

We’ve seen how important communications professionals are to organisations and cultures in a climate of setbacks and global upheaval but how do you set yourself apart and maintain your professional development?

Please join us in conversation with Sia Papageorgiou FRSA, SCMP about how you navigate the pathway to professional global GCCC* certification in Communications and give yourself that edge.

We’ll ask the burning questions of Sia: ‘Why and how is this is important and why should one care? What’s involved? The cost?’ We’ll also hear from others who have received certification and who can share their experience.

*The Communication Management Professional (CMP) and Strategic Communication Management Professional (SCMP) certifications are two certifications offered by the Global Communication Certification Council (GCCC®).

The Global Standard was developed by IABC through research and consultation with the wider profession and states that communication professionals around the world embrace a shared career purpose and six core principles as the building blocks of their work. Those principles are:

  • Ethics
  • Strategy
  • Analysis
  • Context
  • Engagement
  • Consistency

Achieving certification from the GCCC shows that you have professional competence in all these principles.
