Professional Chapters
Starting a Professional Chapter within the Asia Pacific region is a wonderful opportunity for professional development, personal growth and creating a network of communicators who are passionate about the industry.
Some of the ways we support APAC chapters include:
- Chapter Leaders are assigned an APAC Board Member who is both your liaison and advisor
- We host regular conference calls for all Chapter Leaders & Vice Chairs / Vice Presidents
- Local chapter events are highlighted in our region newsletters
- Hand picked resources are available to help with the grassroots activities associated with every chapter – from how to conduct an open call for board members to chapter marketing materials
Chapter Requirements
There are a couple of minimum requirements for developmental chapters to form. There must be:
- At least 15 members committed to joining the chapter
- Committed Leaders
- A market evaluation must be submitted and approved by the International Executive Board. Chapters are required to work with their region to develop the evaluation
Once the International Executive Board approves a developmental chapter, it will remain as a developmental chapter for two years before it is chartered. You can learn more about starting a chapter and what is expected during the developmental stage in the chapter guide.
